Would you dig down a toilet for food?
(Disclaimer: Kids, please don’t take this phrase literally!)
In anticipation of my upcoming Taipei getaway, yours truly has been diligently doing her research and *drumroll* …….. Modern Toilet Restaurant is now on my list of MUST-VISIT places! Imagine digging in a toilet bowl to fill your stomach! MrQ was balking at that thought, but I think it’s such a cute concept!

Now a franchise chain with restaurants over Taiwan, and one in Hong Kong, Modern Toilet opened their first outlet in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. It’s interesting to know that they sold only ice-cream at first, chocolate (poo-shaped).. served in squat-toilet-like dishes no less!
Hmmmm, which outlet to visit in Taipei; Ximending or Shihlin?
