The Story
“Asako, a comic book artist in her early forties, is devastated by the death of her precious cat companion of 15 years, Saba. Her assistant Naomi, a young woman in her early twenties, with her own worries of love and future, watches on with concern. Then one day, Asako meets a new cat, Gu-gu, who brings new joy and vitality to her life. What is more, she finds potential for love in a man named Seiji. Simultaneously, Naomi too, embarks on a new life plan.“
A household name in Japan with over 800 stores internationally, Uniqlo makes its Singapore debut tomorrow (9 April 2009), opening its first store in Tampines 1! Von (who’s shopping herself to oblivion in Tokyo right now! Tokyo, with 99 Uniqlo stores!!!) & myself love their UT collections, especially their often-fabulous collabos!!

Here’s how I found out; was walking past the Canon showroom on the way to 7-11 when I suddenly decided to look AT their window display (this is something I DO NOT normally do!). Staring right back at me was this flashy all-RED compact which looked so familiar, and I squinted (with my face almost touching the glass) to catch the model number la! Behold, the 100 IS!

Have I ever mentioned that I am a willing victim of consumerism? Formerly a buy-what-you-like-on-sight kind of shopper, I now give my possible purchases more thought ok! *sheepish look at Von & MrQ*
But sometimes, just sometimes, you see something which grabs your attention and sucks your soul away. Until you cave in after hours of deliberation (read: being a distracted girlfriend), make the purchase and all is well again.
